We are very pleased to be part of the Refugee Solidarity Summit, happening on 31 January and 1 February 2020 in London.
The Refugee Solidarity Summit is a convening of grassroots solidarity networks, non profit organisations, activists, volunteers, community organisers and NGO’s working in the areas of refugee support, solidarity, advocacy and welcome in the UK and across Europe.
The organisers say:
We hope The Summit will be instrumental in unifying and refreshing our network, giving us the space to reflect, regroup, celebrate our achievements, helping us to galvanise our approaches and move forward with a clearer sense of collective purpose.
Right to Remain will be running workshops at the event (details to be confirmed nearer the time).
Right to Remain workshop: navigating the UK asylum system as a volunteer case worker.
This session looks at the major stages of the UK asylum process, the barriers people face going through the legal process, and suggested actions for practical solidarity with people seeking asylum. The workshop – based on Right to Remain’s Toolkit – is interactive and participatory and is suitable for people with small amounts of knowledge/experience as well as much more experienced participants.
SUPPORT OUR WORK
On reaching the UK, people face a hostile environment. Without help, many will be forcibly sent back to the wars, persecution and misery they have fled.
Your donation will help us to help people in their struggle for the right to remain in the UK, and to campaign for migration justiceDONATE TO RIGHT TO REMAIN
