New Right to Remain Toolkit page on EEA nationals

Legal Updates

EU Flag

As the end of the Brexit transition period approaches, we’ve updated our “EU Law” page in the Right to Remain Toolkit.

This page now looks at applying to the Settled Status scheme if you’re an EEA national and in the UK before 11pm on 31 December 2020.

The page has information on Pre-Settled Status, Settled Status, if you’re refused (or not given the right status), deportation and applying for British citizenship.

The page will be updated again after June 2021, when the Settled Status scheme closes.

You’ll notice that we’re gradually updating the Toolkit to remove all relevant references to EU law – we’ve left it for as long as possible but there’s no escaping the fact that the moment has arrived!

SUPPORT OUR WORK

On reaching the UK, people face a hostile environment. Without help, many will be forcibly sent back to the wars, persecution and misery they have fled.

Your donation will help us to help people in their struggle for the right to remain in the UK, and to campaign for migration justice
