One week after 4 people seeking safety died in a shipwreck in the Channel, civil society organisations and activists from the UK, France, Belgium, and beyond, including Right to Remain, have come together to remember those who died and call for an immediate end to the hostile environment facing migrants on both sides of the Channel.

Inside our Toolkit workshop with Journey LGBTQ+ Asylum Seekers Group

On Tuesday 18th October, we were delighted to hold a Toolkit workshop for Journey, a group that offers support to LGTBQ+ asylum seekers and refugees in Birmingham. The workshop was held at Carrs Lane Church, and it was our fourth workshop in the city in recent months, as we try to better understand the situation for people seeking asylum there.

Campaign Success: airline pulls out of Rwanda flight plan

As the result of campaigns carried out by survivors of torture and asylum and migrant rights’ organisations (such as the #StopTheFlights hashtag campaign), Privilege Style has said that it is no longer planning to operate flights to Rwanda. This shows the enormous power that solidarity can generate – we must do everything to continue to harness it.
