Kweku Adoboli, who had lived in the UK since he was 12 years old, was deported last week. We wrote in the Guardian about how this happened, and how his story is all too common.

“The UK clearly does operate a two-tier justice system, where people with insecure immigration status are punished again with detention and deportation after serving their time. This does not just punish the individual, but also their families and friends who are left behind.”
