We are excited to announce the return of Right to Remain’s Annual Gathering! Next month, we will host two separate events in two locations. Our Annual Gatherings will take place in Birmingham (6 Feb) and Leeds (12 Feb). Attendees from all parts of the UK are welcome.
At both meetings, we will hold space for our community and allies to come together to discuss how the numerous and widespread changes to the asylum and immigration system, alongside the incessant anti-migrant rhetoric, are affecting growing numbers of refugees and migrants, as well as our supporters, allies, and racialised and marginalised citizens.
We will use our time together carry out horizon scanning; what to expect going forward, identifying what we need to focus on, and how to step up our efforts in order to strengthen the migration justice movement and protect our community from the Hostile Environment. Where possible, we encourage people to come with someone from their community or circle, who is going through the asylum and immigration system.
We hope you can join us to build knowledge, radical solidarity and power together with other participants.
How do I book my place?
If you would like to attend, please email Esther – esther@righttoremain.org.uk – who will send you the link to register. Remember, you do not need to be based in Birmingham or Leeds to attend – everyone is welcome!

Thank you for creating this space for shared learning and reflection. I appreciate the reminder about not offering individual legal advice. It’s still incredibly valuable to have a place where people can exchange experiences, deepen understanding, and strengthen solidarity as we navigate the asylum and immigration system together.
