We want as many people as possible to join us for the National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention on Saturday, 18 October 2025 at Derwentside (Hassockfield) detention centre. We have organised coaches from several cities – please read the information below carefully.
Coach information:
- Coaches are running from Manchester, Liverpool, Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland.
- Coaches will depart city centres the morning of the demo, and return the same afternoon.
- Coaches from Manchester and Liverpool are £35 return. Coaches from Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland are £5 return.
- If cost is a barrier, please email Esther at esther@righttoremain.org.uk to request a free ticket. If you can’t join the demonstration but would like to help someone else attend, you can purchase a Solidarity Ticket to cover their travel costs. This is a powerful way to take action and support the movement, even if you can’t be there in person. If you are booking for more than one person, please input their phone number in the additional information box.
- The exact timings and locations for these coaches will be released closer to the date.
- We will host an online safety briefing session about the demonstration nearer the time, which will cover more information about the coach travel.
- Seats are limited, so book early to secure your place. You can find booking links for each coach below. You may have to scroll a bit to find the city you require!
