What we know about the Rwanda Act and Treaty so far
On 25 April, the government’s Safety of Rwanda Act received Royal Assent and became law. At the same time, the UK’s Treaty (agreement) with Rwanda was ratified. This means that the treaty has become legally binding upon the UK and Rwanda.
