Introduction to the Toolkit, 10 March, 11am – 12pm, Zoom.
Join this one hour, introductory workshop on navigating the Right to Remain Toolkit. Perfect for individuals and groups who want to understand how to get the most out of the resource, and how to share it with others.
In this session, you can expect:
Practical, interactive 1 hour workshop on how to use and share the Toolkit
– These sessions are designed to give you and your group confidence in using the Toolkit yourselves and to pass that knowledge on to others you support in an empowering way. We will take you through definitions, how to use the search function, and key tips for sharing. We will also briefly look at the difference between providing legal support and legal advice.
Online
– Sessions are delivered on Zoom, making them accessible to groups across the UK. We can run the session as part of your staff and volunteer meeting, training or as a stand-alone session. We are particularly keen to connect with small groups who are the backbone of the migration justice movement!
Built-in feedback
– As a small organisation, feedback is really important to us; it helps us understand what’s working, what could be better, and how we can continue offering meaningful workshops and resources. We include 15 minutes for feedback within the session. It helps us continue to improve the resource and ensure it meets the needs of communities on the ground.
Who is the workshop for?
These sessions are ideal for community groups, support organisations, volunteers, caseworkers, and anyone who works directly with people going through the asylum and immigration system, and wants to better support them to use the Toolkit themselves.
Let’s work together to build knowledge, confidence and collective support for navigating the system
How do I join?
The workshop is free and open to all. Please note it is a basic introduction to the Toolkit, and we won’t be deep diving into any legal education topics. Spaces are limited to 2 per organisation.
