The team at the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (a project launched by Safe Passage International and Refugee Legal Support) has prepared a self-help guide to the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP).
The guide is available in English, Dari and Pashto.
The guide is aimed at giving Afghan people and their families the tools to pursue their ARAP application, including a review after refusal, on their own if they do not have a lawyer or legal advisor to help them. The guide is not a replacement to receiving legal advice or representation, but it provides a lot of information and tips about the application process.
Read our Legal Update to learn more about the two resettlement schemes available to some people from Afghanistan in the UK: the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.
Please note that the guide prepared by the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative is about one of these resettlement programmes – the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), not the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS).
You can access the guide:
- In English, by clicking here.
- In Dari به زبان فارسی اینجا در دسترس است
- In Pashto: دلته په پشتو ژبه شته
If you know people who may be eligible under ARAP or any practitioners who support people with ARAP applications, share this guide with them!
You can also sign up to the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative’s newsletter to receive updates, answers to commonly asked questions, and legal materials on safe routes to the UK for people from Afghanistan.
