We spoke to Beki and Cat from LGBT Northern Social Group to hear more about their work, their experiences supporting people seeking asylum and how they embody radical solidarity. 

On 20 September 2023, Right to Remain organised a small brainstorming session with legal experts, to continue our quest to protect our community battling with the hostile asylum and immigration system. 

In this radical solidarity series, we are aising the profile of such groups, to learn from each other. For this blog, we spoke to Plymouth Hope.

We sat down with Zena Kazeme, Senior Refugee Resettlement Officer, and Sarah Abbas, OpenARMs Assistant, to hear more about the important work that Sufra do. 

This series – In Search of radical solidarity- aims to raise the profile of these groups, so we can learn the true meaning of radical solidarity from each other. On 21 July 2023, we facilitated a workshop with MILK Cafe and Unity Sisters in Glasgow. This event was a chance to see how the Right to Remain Toolkit can be used to support a community-based peer advocacy project.
