Two people standing in front of and pointing at a colourful flow chart of the asylum process

Join us on Monday 21 July on Zoom, from 10am – 12.30pm for our Knowledge is Power workshop – designed to help you to get to grips with the basics of the asylum system and our Right to Remain Toolkit.

At our Knowledge is Power workshops we share important information about the asylum process and your rights. We will build our confidence in understanding the system, so that you can help yourself, or someone you are supporting, to be in a better position. As a result of our workshops, people report feeling more confident in being about to share information with people about the asylum system.

Workshops such as this are so important, especially now that language such as ‘illegal’ migration has become commonplace. At Right to Remain we believe that No One is Illegal. Read our Statement of Solidarity here.

In this workshop we will cover:

  • An introduction to the Right to Remain Toolkit and other guides, such as our legal updates, the Young Asylum Guide, and the Asylum Navigation Board.
  • An overview of the stages of the asylum system, including the changes brought in by recent legislation.
  • The difference between legal advice and legal support.
